Pure Performance

The Rhino® Chloramines Replacement Tank replaces the Rhino® Chloramines (WH-1011) main tank and provides long-lasting, high-performance water filtration for great-tasting, healthy water throughout your entire home for 1,000,000 gallons or up to 10 years. The Rhino® Chloramines Replacement Tank is independently tested to reduce 83% of chloramine and 97% of chlorine and WQA certified to NSF/ANSI/CAN Standard 61.

This system features upgraded wood catalytic carbon that is lighter and more effective at tackling chloramines — a combination of chlorine and ammonia commonly used by municipalities to treat water — than other carbon media.

The Rhino® provides benefits throughout your entire home. Cooking with filtered water produces stronger flavors, quicker cooking times, and all-around optimal results in the kitchen. Whole home filtration that reduces chloramines and chlorine also helps improve your indoor air quality, since these chemicals can evaporate in hot water, including shower steam, and contaminate the air you breathe. When you shower in filtered water, you reduce your body's exposure to harsh chloramines and chlorine that can cause damage and excessive drying. Bathe in Aquasana filtered water for noticeably healthier, more moisturized hair and skin. Additionally, filtering your water with an Aquasana whole house system can save you money by reducing chloramines and chlorine in your water that can damage pipes and fade your clothing.

The Aquasana Rhino's unique upflow, dual tank design increases water contact time with contaminant-grabbing media and prevents clogging or media channeling.

This Rhino's newly improved divider valve enables a fast and reliable flow rate with no noticeable change in water pressure.

Unlike other whole house filters that require messy, complicated replacement tanks, Aquasana Rhinos are intelligently engineered for quick, easy tank replacements.

Aquasana FAQs
1. Why are whole house water filters considered "point of entry" systems?
The filtration system is installed at the point where the main water supply enters the home, delivering filtered water throughout your home.
We strongly recommend using a licensed plumber since they carry insurance to cover any damages caused by an installation error. This will give you the security that the work was done properly, and peace of mind in knowing that the installation is backed up by the plumbing company's insurance plan.
The Rhino® Chloramines whole house water filter has a rated flow rate of 7 gallons per minute (gpm). True flow rate will vary with influent water pressure. Most homes use only 2 to 3 GPM the majority of the time.
We have whole house water filter options designed to suit your specific home and needs. Our Rhino® and Rhino® Chloramines systems are designed for homes with up to 2.5 bathrooms and with 4 people or fewer in residence. If you have a larger household or are seeking maximum performance, our Rhino® Max Flow and Rhino® Chloramines Max Flow are designed for homes with up to 6 bathrooms and up to 8 people in residence. For even larger homes (5,000 square feet, 3+ stories, 7+ bathrooms, and/or 9+ people) our knowledgeable Water Experts can build a custom system to accommodate you. For more information, call us at 866-662-6885.
City water is treated by municipalities to reduce bacteria, viruses, and common contamination sources. It's also regulated per the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) guidelines. Well water comes from an underground aquifer that is pumped into a home and is typically untreated. Well water may contain higher than average levels of iron or sulfur, or other contaminants.
Both the top and bottom tanks contain 100% catalytic carbon for the reduction of chloramines.
The Rhino® Chloramines is independently tested to reduce 83% of chloramine and 97% of chlorine for 1,000,000 gallons or up to 10 years.
Chloramine is a disinfection agent comprised of chlorine and ammonia used as an alternative to chlorine in some city water treatment facilities. For customers with chloramine in their water, we offer the Rhino® Chloramines. This Whole House Filter features upgraded catalytic carbon media, which has a higher surface area to handle the aggressiveness of chloramine for longer than the standard whole house systems.
KDF stands for kinetic degradation fluxion, which is a redox filtration medium. KDF uses a unique combination of copper and zinc that creates an electrochemical reaction. Chlorine, for instance, is changed into benign, water-soluble chloride, which is then carried harmlessly through the water supply.
After you install your whole house filter, you may notice your water is cloudy. Cloudy or white water is a result of air in the pipes. This trapped air is what causes the water to have a cloudy appearance. This is very common and not harmful. The trapped air in the pipes can take a week to a month to completely resolve.
It is recommended to disinfect all water supplies that are not protected by a municipal water (city water) source. By providing your own disinfection, you are ensuring the safety of your water supply for you and your family.
